Curriculum for beginners
When teaching the guitar to beginners, we follow an intuitive approach. We use the Hal Leonard Method as a guideline to develop a strong technical foundation.
For the first few lessons, students get to know their instrument and familiarise themselves with the correct posture. They learn the fundamentals of holds and strumming before moving on to simple melodies. This helps them get accustomed to playing on each of the strings. We start with songs that students already to make grasping new techniques easy.
Once students are comfortable with the movements, we move on to chords and strumming patterns. With each piece, we cover a new technique and concept. The syllabus is carefully designed to ensure gradual progression without overwhelming students with technical aspects.
Theoretical concepts like staff notations and scales are introduced once the student has sufficient command over their instrument.
This is a brief overview of the course and does not include the entire syllabus. For intermediate and advanced students, we pick up from what they already know and design a syllabus according to their specific needs. Reach out to us for details.
Structure
The guitar course follows a semester structure, with each semester approximately 20 weeks long.
Classes are conducted in small batches to ensure enough individual attention.
Classes can be virtual or in-person, conducted at our teaching space in Pune.
The learning path is divided into levels, with a certificate awarded with the successful completion of each level.
If students wish, we also include preparatory sessions for competitive exams certified by International boards.
The syllabus is flexible once students have mastered the basics and have enough command over their instrument. Students can choose the direction they want to follow.
One-to-one tutoring is available upon request.

Group Classes: Twice a week
Group classes are conducted twice a week.
Each session is 1 hour long.
Priced at INR 18,000 + GST per semester

Your teacher: Vitthalsingh Hajeri
Vitthalsingh Hajeri is a musician and music teacher who has over a decade of experience playing acoustic and electric guitar. For the past seven years, he has been playing professionally as well.
Vitthalsingh, or Vicky as he is known, has been a member of various bands and toured with them across the country. He is the composer and songwriter in the duo Vicky and Tejas and has released his original music on audio streaming platforms. He has also worked as a recording artist for films and corporate jingles.
As a teacher, he believes no two students are the same and takes an individualistic approach while teaching, and creating lesson plans and monthly assessments.
